The official end of Mardi Gras is actually one of my favorite parts of Mardi Gras. I’m not happy that Mardi Gras is over, I just happen to like the tradition.
At midnight, the police announce that Mardi Gras is over, telling the crowds to go home. A wall of mounted police make their way down the street in the French Quarter, usually followed by street sweepers.
No one leaves and the party continues, because the answer to the question is that Mardi Gras never really ends. Time to start planning for next year.

That was interesting, thanks…
How are you doing, Barb? Hope Nemo is out of the area and you’re able to get around more. Take care.
Nemo has been gone for awhile we didn’t get that much. Trying to get home this weekend and ,my son in law has been out working on the roads. Hoping for tomorrow but it doesn’t look like it. Have to go to my real stylist to get my hair colored and cut. Oh well I will just have to play it by ear.
You have been waiting too long to get your hair done! I hope it happens this week! You will feel so much better once you can get out and go to do the things you want to do.
That’s right BSL; I’m not leaving!
I got my first taste of king cake yesterday and loved it. Now it’s Mardi Gras everyday. PS, I’m moving in.
Come on over, we’re waiting for you!
Hi! Welcome and thanks for stopping by. I have been busy dealing with some renovations, but hoping to be online more soon. I’m not too helpful with computers, but it seems like you’re doing just fine figuring it all out. Have a nice weekend.
Hahaha! I’m a sucker for cute little animal pics, too. Take care and don’t let the computer get the best of you.
Do you mean to get follow up comments or to follow a blog? To get a follow up for a comment, to see if someone replied, I think you do have to check that each time you write a comment. If you want to follow a blog, you go through that only once. Usually, when you follow a blog, it lets you decide if you want to get regular follow ups if there’s a new post. Hope that makes sense.
